The SAE International Journal of Commercial Vehicles publishes scientific articles on the design, modeling, controlling, and testing of commercial vehicles that bring strong empirical and theoretical contributions to the current and future body of knowledge.

The articles included in this special issue comprise a variety of articles developed from the main SAE International’s commercial vehicles engineering event, Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress. The conference brings together engineers, managers, academicians, and occasionally government employees that have an interest in various aspects of commercial vehicles, both for on- and off-road applications.

Article Titles:

- A Practical Fail-Operational Steering Concept
- Powertrain Design Optimization for a Range-Extended Electric Pickup and Delivery Truck
- Directional Vehicle Control by Steering the Third Axle to Provide Redundancy for Steer-by-Wire Systems and Highly Autonomous Vehicles
- Designing Next Generation Exhaust Aftertreatment Systems Using Machine Learning
- Model-Based Precise Air-Fuel Ratio Control for Gaseous Fueled Engines
